Owners Love Their New Outdoor Living Space in Stetson Hills

Our clients reached out to us because they needed to replace their existing wooden deck, which was in poor condition. We met with them to discuss their vision for the new outdoor living space. Together, we designed a 10’ x 26’ composite deck with an 11’ x 16’ shed roof deck cover. After researching composite decking, our clients chose Deckorators Vista Silverwood, which we laid at a 90-degree angle to the joists. To achieve a clean and finished look, we installed single end and divider boards in Deckorators Vista Driftwood.

The railing is a steel Fortress Fe26 Traditional panel system with a powder-coated finish, featuring 3-inch posts topped with pressed dome caps. The homeowners also opted for a side-mounted drink cap made of Driftwood material. For safety, we included a matching Fortress gate at the top of the deck stairs.

The shed roof deck cover features a closed tongue-and-groove ceiling, which the homeowners chose to paint white to match the house trim.

Underneath the deck, we installed 4-inch galvanized grid panels. The homeowners wanted an unobtrusive animal control barrier, and this material meets their specifications while keeping out larger animals.
