Owners Create Outdoor Living Space with a New Composite Deck

When the owners purchased this home, they envisioned an outdoor living space that would encompass the entire yard for their family. They recognized that the small wooden deck and the barren backyard could be transformed into their dream space with time and effort.

Their first step was to remove the existing deck that was attached to the house. Due to its size, there was no room to entertain or dine outside in the beautiful Colorado weather. Working together with our client, we designed a much larger deck using composite materials. They chose Deckorators Ironwood from the Vista collection and incorporated end boards and a divider board for a sleek, modern aesthetic. The railing system selected was the Fortress Fe26 Traditional metal panel in Black Sand, and they also added a drink cap made from Ironwood composite material.

With these enhancements, the homeowners have transformed their new deck into a comfortable space ideal for entertaining and dining with family and friends. This project marked the first step in turning the backyard into an oasis for the entire family!

Allendale 6 – After looking at the multiple options available for decking materials, the owners decided to go with Ironwood from the Deckorators Vista series.  We also added end boards and a divider board (you can see it in this picture), to avoid butt seams and give the decking a finished look.
