Custom Composite Decks in Colorado Springs

Before 1 – This shows the old wood deck that was original to the house before we removed it.

After 1 – The owners wanted more outdoor living space so we designed this multi-level deck.  It is built with Fiberon Moringa decking laid at 90-degrees and a Fortress Fe26 metal railing with drink cap.

Before 2 – The homeowners had an older, redwood deck that they want to replace with a new, updated composite deck.

After 2 – Working with the homeowners, we designed this new deck to match their home.  It features Deckorators composite decking with a picture frame border, Fortress Fe26 black metal railing, and stucco support posts.  The stairs have a 90-degree turn landing with stucco walls below.

After 2A – We installed Deckorators Costa decking with a picture frame border in Deckorators Sierra.  We also added a single dividing board to avoid butt seems.

Before 3 – The owners purchased a home that featured an old, unsafe redwood deck.  They contact DBS to replace it with a low-maintenance composite deck.

After 3 – Based on the customers’ decisions, DBS built their new deck using Deckorators Voyage Mesa composite material for the decking, drink cap, and fascia.  The railing is an RDI metal panel system with 3″ x 3″ posts. (Go to Rockrimmon in the Gallery for more information)

1 – A beautiful outdoor living space has been created on this composite deck. The decking is Deckorators Vista Ironwood with divider boards to avoid butt-seams. The owners chose to use the Fortress Fe26 V-Series railing, which consists of metal components and vertical stainless steel cables.

2 – These owners have an area for entertaining that features a beautiful view of the mountains west of Colorado Springs.  The decking material is Fiberon Moringa with a double picture frame in Fiberon Espresso.  A Fortress Fe26 Traditional railing system in Black Sand features a drink cap in Moringa and a gate for safety.  We also installed HPD Philuminator mini-clear lights on the railing posts.

3 – This gorgeous, 690 SF composite deck located in Black Forest Reserve was built with Deckorators Vista Ironwood and a Fortress Fe26 black steel deck railing.

4 – This striking, two-tone deck features Deckorators Voyage Tundra for the main decking with double divider boards and picture frame in Deckorators Dark Slate.  The railing is a Fortress Fe26 Traditional powder-coated panel system with flat pyramid post caps, 5 of which are lighted.

5 – This new deck provides an outdoor living space ideal for entertaining.  The decking is Fiberon GoodLife Bungalow with a 3/4 picture frame border and divider board in the Sanctuary Espresso. The railing is a Fortress Fe26 panel system with pressed dome post caps.

6 – Working with the owners, we designed this deck with Deckorators Ironwood decking, end boards, and divider boards (to avoid butt-seams). The railing is a Fortress Fe26 metal panel in Black Sand with a drink cap in the Ironwood material.

7 – Our customers wanted to add a dining rail to their deck.  Working with them, we designed and built this dining rail from the composite decking material.

8 – A custom designed composite deck with an inset staircase located in Briargate.  The decking Deckorators Voyage Sedona. A Wild Hog 6-gauge railing with 4″ grid panels and drink cap add a unique design element.

9 – This custom-built deck was designed to hold a hot tub, so we had to add extra support. The decking is MoistureShield Citadel, laid at 90 degrees to the joists with divider and end boards in MoistureShield Mariner. The Fortress Fe26 railing also features a dining rail we built using the Mariner composite decking material. Here you can see the two sets of 2 steps installed for the hot tub. We installed Lake Powell step lights from High Point Deck Lighting for illumination.

10 – The owners decided to replace their older deck using MoistureShield Elevate Riverbank material for the decking and end boards.  The railing is a Century metal panel system in Black with 2.5″ posts and post caps.  We built two staircases, both 5′-wide with open steps.

11 – We built this custom deck using Fiberon Ipe composite decking laid at 90-degrees with dividing boards to avoid butt seems.  The railing is a metal and stainless steel cable system.

12 – This composite deck is laid out in a herringbone pattern and includes a double picture frame border in a contrasting color  The roof cover features a vaulted stucco ceiling with recessed lighting.

13 – This deck features Deckorators Voyage Mesa decking and an RDI Excalibur metal railing with drink cap.  The gabled deck cover has a vaulted ceiling from Woodtone in Canadian Ice Lager.

14 – The decking and fascia match on this deck to create that beautiful, finished look.  The railing is a Fortress Fe26 panel system anchored by stone columns,

15 – This beautiful backyard is enhanced by a steel framed composite deck.  The railing is a matte black metal with a composite drink cap.

16 – DBS built this ground-level deck with composite decking material with a single picture frame border and wrap-around stair.

17 – We built this custom, multi-level deck with a steel deck frame for durability. The decking is Trex Tiki Torch, and the railing is custom designed and built in wrought iron.

18 – This deck is built with the boards laid at 90-degrees to the joists and a single divider board to avoid butt seams.  The railing has composite posts and drink cap with metal railing panels.  We also built a pergola to provide shade for the homeowners.

19 – A comfortable outdoor living area is created on this new composite deck!  The owners used Fiberon Sanctuary Chai for the decking with single board picture frame, divider, and end boards.  The railing is a Fortress Fe26 powder-coated steel panel system with pressed dome post caps.

20 – This amazing deck was built with many custom features.  The Fiberon Ipe composite decking is laid at a 45-degree angle to the joists.  We built 4′ walls and a wood-burning fireplace in stucco.  The gabled deck cover has a tongue and groove pine vaulted ceiling.

21 – The homeowners chose to use a steel deck frame and Fiberon Ipe composite decking laid out in a herringbone pattern for their custom deck.  The double picture frame is done in Fiberon Tudor Brown.

22 – This deck has the boards laid at 90-degrees with a single picture frame in a contrasting color.  The railing is a Fortress panel system with a ring top accent panel installed.

23 – The home featured an existing deck and deck cover. We kept the deck cover using a support system while building the new composite deck. The deck features Deckorators Voyage Khaya composite material and a Fortress Fe26 metal panel railing in Black Sand. We added divider boards on the deck to avoid butt-seams where boards meet.

24 – This beautiful deck was built with Moisture Shield Elevate material in Canoe.  The railing is a Fortress Fe26 in Black Sand with 2 x 2 posts.
