Outdoor Living and Entertaining at its Finest
Our customers wanted to design their backyard as a beautiful, relaxing oasis for outdoor entertaining. DBS worked with them and designed a ramada (patio cover) that would allow them to create the space they envisioned. We built a free-standing, gabled roof patio cover with a half-wall on one end. The ceiling is vaulted tongue and groove pine with recessed lighting and a ceiling fan. Since we had to add electricity for the lights and fan, we also added outlets in the Cedar half-wall and on the two support posts closest to the house. This allowed the homeowners to mount a TV on the wall. The roofing tile is the same style as that on the house. The existing deck did not have a staircase leading down to the backyard, so we built one with a 90-degree turn landing to minimize the footprint of the stairs.
